New Health Code Rules Announced as Deaths Reach 190 in Shanghai!

According to the Health Commission of Shanghai, there have been 190 death cases in the recent outbreak of the epidemic in Shanghai as of April 25, the youngest death case is 33 years old and the oldest is 101 years old. Among them, death cases over the age of 70 accounted for 86.32% of the total.
The 33-year-old male death case, was reported on April 25. He had suffered a sudden cardiac and respiratory arrest and the resuscitation failed. He was diagnosed of sudden cardiac death, and had received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Other death cases were all caused by underlying diseases. 12 of the deaths had been vaccinated against COVID-19, and the rest were not vaccinated.
The cumulative number of COVID infected people in Shanghai has exceeded 500,000. As of 24:00 on April 25, there were 259 severe COVID patients and 28 critically ill COVID patients under treatment in the city.
Shanghai continues to strictly implement the "Not leaving Shanghai unless necessary" policy to resolutely prevent the spread of the epidemic. In addition to negative nucleic acid testing reports within 48 hours, those who leave Shanghai must also provide negative antigen testing reports within 24 hours.
New Health Code Rules Announced!
On April 25, Shanghai further clarified the health code rules, which are below:
These People Will Get a Red Code
Those who were initially screened positive or tested positive with mixed sampling;
Confirmed cases, asymptomatic infections, and suspected cases;
Close contacts;Those from outside of China (excluding entry from Macao SAR);
People coming to Shanghai from high-risk areas.
These People Will Get a Yellow Code
Close contacts who are in the health monitoring period after being released from isolation and observation;
Indirect close contacts;
People coming to Shanghai from medium-risk areas;
Those we didn’t join nucleic acid screening as per the request, etc.
